Passed away May 26, 2012 in Ritzville.
She was a lifetime resident born to Conrad and Mabel (Bauer) Schafer on July 9, 1920 in Ritzville.
She was one of 14 children.
She attended Ritzville schools, graduat-ing in 1939.
On January 22, 1942 she married Daniel M. Kembel.
Together, they had one son Dennis who lives and farms in Ritzville with his wife, Marian.
Violet was a member of Ritzville Assembly of God and New Hope Church in Ritzville.
After farming with her husband Daniel, she moved to town where she has lived for the last 14 years.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1998 and 12 siblings.
Surviving are a son Dennis (Marian) Kembel; four grandchildren: Rory Kembel of Spokane, Cregg Kembel of Kona, HI, Sinead Condon of Spokane and Liam Condon of Ritzville; five great grandchildren and one brother: Virgil Schafer of Spokane.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 30, 2012 at DANEKAS FUNERAL HOME-Ritzville from 12 Noon to 8:00 PM and Thursday May 31, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM; followed by Graveside Services and Vault Interment at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
