Entered into rest on May 24, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

Donelle was born on November 13, 1934 in Spokane, WA to parents Elmer T. and Luella R. Howlett.

This year marks her 60th anniversary of graduating from Central Valley High School in 1952.

First marriage to Glen E. Richardson from 1952 to 1972; second marriage to William Starkey from 1977 to 1980.

Donelle attended the two-year Nursing School Program at Spokane Community College where she earned her Nursing Degree, and began working as a Registered Nurse at Holy Family Hospital from 1977 to 1990; she then began working as a Night Nurse at Group Health from 1990, until she retired in January 2000.

She continued to work part-time for Group Health until age 73 as a Registered Nurse.

Donelle was a member of the Washington State Quilters Spokane Chapter.

She is well known by her family and friends as a passionate Quilter, where she created over 150 quilts throughout her life.

She enjoyed giving many of the quilts she made to family and friends to give them comfort.

She was also a collector and creator of miniatures.

Her specialty was miniature framed cross stitching.

Donelle is survived by her son Patrick Howard Richardson of Renton, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Glen Kevin and Zebad (Mimi) Goitom Richardson of Burke, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Jane and Richard Matthew Krauss Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph Pat Richardson, Andrew Glen Richardson, Jessica Elizabeth Bussing, Justin Zemariam Richardson, Nicholas Solomon Richardson, and Richard Matthew Krauss Jr.; and great-grandchild, Mason Patrick Richardson.

One deceased son Michael Theodore Richardson passed away on November 8, 2011, twin brother of Patrick Howard Richardson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1st from 9:00AM to 8:00PM at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at the Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, June 2, 2012 beginning at 12:00PM.
