Sandpoint Arbor Day is Saturday
Ceremony and arboretum open house includes tours
The 14th annual Sandpoint Arbor Day ceremony and arboretum open house takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Lakeview Park, next to the Bonner County Historical Museum at 611 S. Ella Ave.
The Kinnikinnick Native Plant Society, Sandpoint Parks and Recreation and the Sandpoint Tree Committee will sponsor the activities.
Native plant seedlings will be distributed as long as supplies last.
Everyone is invited to stroll through the arboretum, where gardeners will be available to provide habitat tours and give detailed information on trees and plants in each area.
