Of Walla Walla, died Oct. 22, 2012.

She was born to the late William and Mary Arnold, Jan. 22, 1929, in Spokane, WA.

Mary graduated from North Central High School in 1947.

She married Kenneth Lovejoy in 1956.

She and her family moved from Spokane to Walla Walla in 1967.
Mary worked as an accounting supervisor for Pacific Northwest Bell in Spokane.

She was employed in the accounting office at the Walla Walla Clinic.

Mary worked for Walla Walla Electric as office manager.
Mary enjoyed her children, traveling, reading, drawing, music, and gardening.

She traveled to five different continents: Australia; Europe; Africa; South America and North America.

She visited 38 states.

She was especially fond of watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren swim in the family pool.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ken Lovejoy of Walla Walla; her children, Mike Lovejoy—married to Tensie and Debbie Kershaw—married to Leon, of Walla Walla; and her brother-in-law, Richard Lovejoy of Liberty Lake, WA.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Kershaw, Aaron Kershaw and Nataya Lovejoy; one great-grandchild, Eliyah Kershaw-Ortega; three step great -grandchildren, Maryah Ortega, Lexi Ortega, and Mia Ortega; and several nieces & nephews.

Mary was the fourth of five (two brothers and two sisters) siblings all of whom are deceased.
As per Mary’s request, there is a memorial service for family members pending.

Memorial contributions in her name can be made to either the Blue Mountain Humane Society or the Christian Aid Center of Walla Walla through Herring-Groseclose Funeral Home.
