In brief: Group hosts tea, fashion show

NORTHWEST – The Miss Spokane Scholarship Organization will host the Crowns for Kids fashion show and tea on Saturday at the Garland Church, 2011 W. Garland Ave., at 1 p.m. to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and the Miss Spokane Scholarship Fund.

The fundraiser will include fashions from Audrey’s, A Boutique; Calamity Jane’s; Sagebrush Old West; Tuxedo Gallery; and 12-year-old local designer Angel Moore. Miss Spokane royalty will model the fashions.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at both Finders Keepers locations, 309 W. Second Ave. and 18 W. Main Ave.

Women’s seminar focuses on aging

LOGAN – Women 55 and older are invited to “Aging is Not for Sissies” at the Franciscan Place, 1016 N. Superior St., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Coffee and tea will be provided, but participants should bring a sack lunch.
