John, Sr.
(Age 91)

Born April 11, 1921 to parents Gustav and Olga Westberg in Spokane; passed away November 3, 2012 in Spokane. During his younger years he worked with his father to learn the carpentry and home building business. A two bedroom house in those days sold for $3500. Bob attended schools in Spokane and technical schools in Oregon and back east to study for an Aircraft A&E license. He worked for Northwest Airlines and the Washington Water Power Company and was a member of their Trail Blazers Club. He enjoyed bird and duck hunting and fly fishing for trout. His favorite fishing spot was a beautiful stream on his wife’s folks’ ranch in Montana. After his retirement from Washington Water Power he spent a lot of time playing golf. He was a member of Downriver Mens’ Club. When Bob and Betty were not playing golf or sitting in a doctor’s office they would spend time at their cabin on Priest Lake. He is survived by his son, Bob Jr.; daughter Julie (Rick) Creeger; and triplett granddaughters: Ashleigh, Briana and Kaitlin. A Committal Service will be held Friday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall Street. Please visit Bob’s online tribute and leave a condolence at
