SCHAFFNER, Norma

Norma Florence MacLean Schaffner was born December 10, 1929 in Bassano, Alberta, Canada to William and Lillian MacLean.

She passed away peacefully on November 5, 2012 in Spokane, Washington.

She grew up the youngest of eight children on the Alberta prairie.

She met the love of her life, Charles Schaffner, while on holiday in Coeur d’ Alene.

They were married June 4, 1955 and were together until his death in 2007.

She is survived by her children, Marlene Olveda (Armando) and Janice Abramovich (Ron) and grand- children Dylan and Abbie.

Many remember Norma as a helpful and friendly sales clerk at the Crescent department store for over 30 years.

The Schaffner family enjoyed many trips to Canada and camping at Priest Lake.

After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, her beautiful garden, and spending time with her grandchildren.


A celebration of her life will be at Fairmount Memorial Cemetery, Saturday, November 10, at 11:30 a.m.
