Storm brings out heroes

I’ve never been so proud to be an American. Our fellow citizens on the East Coast have proved again that we are a nation of strong, capable and giving people. The families in New York and New Jersey and all along the Eastern Seaboard have shown the world their determination, their commitment to their fellow man and their never-ending knowledge that it will get better. The medical personnel who worked so diligently to save their hospital patients is awesome.

To the people back East, you are all our heroes, especially the fire, police, National Guard, Federal Emergency Management Administration representatives, and all the other rescue personnel.
