Vulnerable adult from Newport found safe

UPDATE: The Sheriff’s Office reported Nov. 13 that Bulgrin has been found safe.

The Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating a vulnerable adult.

Erwin J. Bulgrin, 71, of Newport, left his home at the River Mountain Village Assisted Living about 7:00 a.m. on Nov. 9, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was seen leaving Michael’s Café in Newport about 9:30 that morning. Authorities believe Bulgrin, who has several medical conditions, might have been trying to get a ride to one of the area casinos.

Authorities believe he was wearing a black or navy blue in color jacket and pajama bottoms. He uses a walker.
