Week in review

Fairfield City Council – The council discussed the East Main Street Rehabilitation projects and voted to release a partial payment to the contractor. A public hearing was held on Community Development Block Grant funding and the council voted to apply for a grant for improvements to the town’s sewer system. Rockford City Council – There was a public hearing on the 2013 budget. A special budget workshop is planned for 6 p.m. on Nov. 28. The Nov. 21 meeting was moved to Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. because of Thanksgiving. (Source: Town clerk Darlene LaShaw)
