Spokane firefighters on scene of apartment fire

Spokane firefighters are attacking an apartment building fire at 728 E. Mission Ave. in the Gonzaga University area.
About two blocks of Mission Avenue starting at Hamilton Street and stretching west have been blocked off while firefighters work.
Flames are showing through the roof and students have gathered to watch the fire. Firefighters are attacking the fire via ladders to the roof.
