WSP identifies woman killed in hit-and-run
The pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday night on state Route 231 in Stevens County was identified by the Washington State Patrol early this morning.
Evonna A. Hyde, 20, of Springdale had been walking along the road when she was hit by an “unknown green vehicle,” a news release from the WSP said.
Emergency personnel responded to the report of a woman in the roadway about two miles north of Ford, Wash., and administered CPR.
Hyde was pronounced dead by the Stevens County Fire Department about 8 p.m., a WSP release said.
