Occupy Compassion under way

I can tell Marlene Brazington (“Where are the protesters” – Nov. 10) where the Occupy Wall Street protesters are. They have taken their organizational skills to New York and are providing relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy. If you check out their website at http://interoccupy.net/occupysandy/ you’ll see they are organizing and distributing food, water, medicine, and other supplies and services in the stricken area.

As reported by the Associated Press, it sounds like they’re doing good, helping a lot of people and showing a real concern for society. I don’t know about the two “selfish” protesters Ms. Brazington has met, but they do not seem representative of the organization as a whole.

As the Occupy Sandy movement illustrates, they are capable of doing more than just “demonstrate and act vile.”
