What about Idaho drivers?

It has been bandied about that we should ban studded tires, but what are you going to do about the people from out of state, like all of the people from Idaho who commute every day to work in Spokane, or the ones who just want to shop? Are we going to ban them if they have studded tires?

I really don’t think the business community of Washington would go for that. I agree that the studded tires tear up the pavement, but what is the solution?

Editorial: Washington state lawmakers scramble to keep public in the dark

State lawmakers want to create a legislative loophole in Washington’s Public Records Act. While it’s nice to see Democrats and Republicans working together for once, it’s just too bad that their agreement is that the public is the enemy. As The Spokesman-Review’s Olympia reporter Jim Camden explained Feb. 22, lawmakers could vote on a bill today responding to a court order that the people of Washington are entitled to review legislative records.
