Obituary: Nelson, Alvin E.
Age 90
NELSON, Alvin E. Alvin E Nelson, born October 28, 1922, in Walcott, Minnesota, passed away November 13, 2012. Alvin worked for many years at Burlington Northern Railroad before retiring. He loved hunting, camping, music, and dancing. Alvin had four children with his first wife, Thelma E. Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Terri Nelson; daughter, Judy Young; sons, Gerald, Douglas and Dale Nelson; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Alvin, a World War II Veteran, was discharged honorably from the U.S. Army, December 31, 1945. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW …

His funeral service will be held Monday, November 19, 2012, at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. Monroe St. at 11:00 a.m.
