Obituary: Fox, Betty L.

Age 83

FOX, Betty L. (Age 83) Our beloved mother and friend to so many, Betty L. Fox, passed away on November 10, 2012.

Betty was born on August 14, 1929 in Great Falls, MT.

She married Robert J.

Fox in 1950 and moved to Spokane in 1951.

Betty raised three boys, volunteered and worked for the Heart Association, the gift shop at Deaconess Hospital, and finally as the receptionist in the main lobby of the hospital.

Our mom was blessed with a wonderful circle of friends, the “Great Bunch,” all located on the South Hill.

They shared many lunches, dinners and most of all fond memories of their many years together.

Betty traveled often with her husband, crossing the country and overseas to visit her grandchildren.

Betty enjoyed spending time at “the Lake” in Coeur d’Alene.

From the time they moved to Spokane, the lake provided year-round beauty and family reunions, generating lifelong friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J.

Fox, and is survived by her three sons: Larry and Jerry of Spokane, Major General Ray, wife Cindy of Camp Lejeune, NC; sisters Norma Johnson of Great Falls, MT and Donna Kropp of Helena, MT; granddaughters, Jennifer Axelson of San Diego, CA and Melissa Takacs of West Chester, OH; and her recent joys in her life, her two great-grandchildren, Robert Takacs and Emily Axelson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joseph A.

Fox will be officiating the service.

A reception will follow the service at EJ’s Garden Bistro, 1928 W. Pacific Ave, on the corner of Cannon St. and Pacific Ave.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Spokane.
