Many organizations offer free or low-cost Thanksgiving meals, or food baskets for people to prepare their own holiday feast:
Thanksgiving Turkey Baskets - The Salvation Army will be distributing baskets that include a frozen turkey and all the fixings to cook your own dinner. UGM Citywide Thanksgiving Dinner - Union Gospel Mission will hold a free Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday at the Spokane Convention Center for anyone who might otherwise be alone or go without. Enter at the breezeway between the INB Performing Arts Center and the Convention Center. Doors open at 3:40 p.m., and food will be served from 4-6 p.m. The address is 334 W. Free Thanksgiving Dinner - On Thursday, Mid City Concerns Meals on Wheels will offer a free meal; everyone is welcome. Times: 11:30 a.m. for seniors; 12:30 p.m. for the general public. The address is 1222 W. Second Ave. (509) 456-6597.
