Five Eagles named 1st-team All-Big Sky

Wide receiver Kaufman is unanimous pick

Eastern Washington wide receiver Brandon Kaufman was a unanimous first-team selection on the All-Big Sky football team announced today. Kaufman, a junior from Denver, was one of five Eagles named to the first team. Others included offensive tackle Will Post, linebacker Ronnie Hamlin, cornerback TJ Lee III and kicker Jimmy Pavel. Second-team selections from Eastern include offensive guard Steven Forgette, defensive end Jerry Ceja, linebacker Zach Johnson and safety Allen Brown. Montana State led the way with six first-team selections. Eastern, which shared the regular-season title with Montana State and Cal Poly, had five players tabbed to the first team. Northern Arizona and Montana each had four first-team players.
