Obituary: Anderson, Linda Sue

Age 52

ANDERSON, Linda Sue (Age 52) Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Hospice House in Spokane, WA, after a brave ten month battle with cancer.

She was born on June 1, 1960, in Vancouver, WA to William and Shirley Jones.

After graduating from Columbia River High School in 1978, Linda went to work for Toys ‘R’ Us in Jantzen Beach, OR, where she met the love of her life, Raymond D. Anderson.

They were wed in 1989, and had a wonderful time forming a bond as a couple until 1997, when they were blessed with the adoption of their first child, Cody Edmund, age 15.

Linda wanted a large family and loved children.

In 2000, the family moved to Rosalia, WA, and Linda and Ray became active foster parents, nurturing many lucky kids before joyfully increasing their family in 2007 with the adoption of Maryjane Marie, age 9; Levi August, age 8; Rubin William, age 8; and Crystal Renee, age 6.

Linda was busy with her family but had time to be active with the Rosalia School District PTO, particularly the yearly Scholastic Book Fair, Cub Scouts, the Rosalia Methodist Church, and with DSHS, providing respite care and training for other foster parents.

She pitched in to any activity that brought her closer to her own children, and any children in need.

Linda was an amazing wife, mother, foster parent, friend and community member, and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Raymond, and her five children.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Linda touched are invited to her Memorial Service at the Rosalia United Methodist Church, Third St. and Whitman St. at noon on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

In lieu flowers, contributions to Hospice House of Spokane, 367 East 7th, Spokane, WA, 99202, or to the Rosalia School District for new playground equipment, 916 South Josephine, Rosalia, WA 99170, would be appreciated.

A special thanks from the family to the entire community of Rosalia; your support has made all the difference - you are our heroes.
