Obituary: Dravland, Ralph E.

Age 89

DRAVLAND, Ralph E. (Age 89) Was born December 19, 1922 to Carl and Elinda Dravland in Rosholt, SD and passed away on November 17, 2012.

Ralph had two sisters, Fern and Milly (Oroville) and one brother, Mickey who have all preceded him in death.

He was married to Dorothy for 55 years when she passed away in April of 2005.

Together they had two sons, Chuck and Jay (past away in August 1980).

Chuck and his wife Bonnie have two sons, Chris (Laura) and Ryan (Melissa) who has blessed him with 10 great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Ralph is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law.

He was co-owner of A&R Chevron on the corner of Garland and Wall.

After retiring, Ralph and Dorothy moved to Sacheen Lake for the summers and became snowbirds in Yuma, AZ.

After Dorothy’s death, Ralph moved to Yuma to live fulltime, until about 6 1/2 months ago when his family moved him back to Spokane into an adult family home.

The family would like to give special thanks to Michelle and Ed Smith and their family for the loving care they gave him.

We’ll never be able to thank them enough.

We want to also thank Horizon Hospice, for the quality of life, help and support they gave Dad and our family.

Visitation will be held at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division on Wednesday, November 21 from 9:00AM - 8:00PM and again on Friday, November 23 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM.

Funeral service will begin at 1:30PM Saturday, November 24, 2012 in the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery followed by interment.
