Obituary: Cavanaugh, Marc W.

CAVANAUGH, Marc W. Marc W. Cavanaugh (61) long time Plummer area resident, died October 26, 2012 at his home from an apparent heart attack.

He was born August 5, 1951 to William and Evelyn (Quigley) Cavanaugh at Kalispell, MT.

He grew up in Spokane, WA and attended Shadle Park High School.

In the early 1970’s, he worked as a small appliance repairman in Spokane.

He also worked for Comet Trailers and for a brief time worked for a cannery on the West coast.

In the late 1970’s, he purchased property on McClellen Road near Fairfield, WA.

He worked for a number of years at the Pacific Crown Mill in Plummer as an electrician.

He went to work for local electrical contractor and friend Jim Adams, re-wiring grain elevators and homes.

Marc went on to form his own company Cavanaugh Electric.

Marc never married.

He retired this year.

He enjoyed working on Radio Controlled Model Airplanes.

He also enjoyed fishing and panning for gold.

Marc had an avid interest in all NASA programs and watched them intently.

Marc will always be remembered for his big smile, loud laugh, and the ability to repair or fix anything mechanical.

Marc is survived by his brother and wife Doug and Nicole Cavanaugh of Spokane, WA; sisters and their husbands Patricia and Romie Deschamps of Palmer, AK; and Rita and Ralph Carpenter of Kent, WA.

As well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother, Greg Cavanaugh and his nephew, Jared Cavanaugh.
