Obituary: Delbuono, Albert

Age 88

DELBUONO, Albert (Age 88) Albert was born on October 16, 1924 to Louis and Paulina Delbuono in Kellogg, Idaho.

He passed away in Otis Orchards, Washington on November 22, 2012 with family by his side.

Albert enlisted in the United States Navy on November 9, 1942 and served proudly, earning several medals.

One of those medals was the WWII Victory Medal.

Shortly after his return from service, Albert met and married Bernice.

Later they parted paths, but with fond memories.

Albert was a member of the Eagles Lodge and loved telling jokes, making people laugh, playing the guitar and singing.

He was especially fond of dancing with his wife of 23 years, Margaret.

Together they enjoyed some of his favorite pastimes which included, horseback riding, camping at Le Clerc Creek, fishing, the Seattle Seahawks and Sunday football, church on Sunday and the delicious spaghetti dinners.

Albert was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary.

Albert is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Mike Delbuono and Steve Delbuono; daughter, Patti Delbuono; brother, Art Delbuono and his wife, Rose; several nieces; great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4-8PM at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Road, Spokane Valley.

A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 29th at 11AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Otis Orchards followed by a luncheon at the church.

Graveside services with military honors will take place following the luncheon at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, WA.
