Obituary: Murphy, Susan Kay

MURPHY, Susan Kay Passed away peacefully on November 15, 2012 with her husband, Richard at her bedside.

Susan was born to Walter and Hazel Wright on June 24, 1953 in Brisbane, Australia; then moved to Boulder City, Nevada in 1956 where she grew up and graduated at the top of her high school class in 1971.

She earned her B.S.

in Biology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas; then worked for the Bureau of Reclamation where she met her future husband Richard.

They married and raised two beautiful children, Stephen and Shelly.

The family moved to Spokane in 2007.

Susan was a dedicated mother, nature lover, bird watcher, arts and crafts connoisseur.

She loved to decorate her home, plant flowers, go shopping and collect many things.

She especially liked traveling and spending time with the Franklin and Taylor families.

Susan is also survived by her sister, Linda Noel and mother, Hazel Wright who live in the Las Vegas area.

The family wishes to thank Horizon Hospice and all the employees at Cornerstone Court for their loving care of Susan.

Services for Susan will take place later in the spring of 2013.

She will be greatly missed by friends and family but her memories will live on.
