SHEPARD, Eunice I. (Age 89) Our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully on November 14, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born July 2, 1923 and was a lifelong resident of Spokane and attended Lewis and Clark High School. She was an icon of the Spokane Interstate Fair, having food booths there for 42 years and she also had a small caramel corn shop in downtown Spokane. Eunice was an exceptional waitress/hostess at many Spokane restaurants with a knack for remembering every diner’s name. She was honored with being Mother of the Year in 1960 from a letter submitted by her son Gary, when he was in 4th grade. She is survived by her children Carol (Bob) Hickman, Ray Dick Shepard, Marvel Bosaaen, Gary (Sue) Shepard, Donna (Greg) Wozny, Mary (John) West, Bob Shepard, Susy Green and daughter-in-law Sandy Shepard; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Bob Avery. Eunice was preceded in death by her son Glenn Ronald “Shep” Shepard; grandson Christopher Green; sisters Gay Wandler and Donna Avery; brothers Jack Irvine and Jack Keys. Graveside service and gathering of family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. May God bless and keep our mom until we meet again!
