Obituary: Steinmetz, Charles “Rex”
He had retired from his business, Steinmetz Welding 10 years earlier, although he continued repairing and welding till the end.
He was born on July 19, 1935 in Junction City, Kansas to Charles H. and Edna A. Steinmetz.
He spent his early years and high school years in Chewelah, WA.
He married Margaret “Sug” Stolp on December 15, 1964 and they had three daughters that were his pride and joy.
He loved his wife, daughters, grandchildren, fishing, Gunsmoke, candy, and his dog, Taz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, Monte.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, Michelle (Les) Meade, Danielle (Pat) Imboden, Marcie (Matt) Mangold and grandchildren, Connor, MacKenna, Mabel, and Emmett.
A Rosary Service will be held Friday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 455 Cottonwood, in Reardon.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 1, at 4:00 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.
Flowers may be sent to Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home or donations made to Hospice or Spokanimal.
