Obituary: Holcomb, Nancy Lynn And Curtis Glenn
Age 53
Nancy was born in Arlington, Virginia on December 19, 1958, and grew up in Camp Springs, Maryland.
She attended Camp Springs Elementary School, Roger B. Taney Junior High School, Walker Mill Junior High School, and graduated from Crossland High School in 1976.
Following graduation, she worked with the Department of Energy in Washington DC.
She was married on March 3, 1979 to Curtis Glenn Holcomb of Spokane, Washington and, in 1993, moved with her family to Spokane.
Nancy was survived by her husband Curtis Glenn Holcomb, age 57, of Spokane, Washington, who passed away on November 14, 2012 at the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, following a very brief illness.
Nancy is survived by her parents, Robert T. and Laura C. Holmes of Camp Springs, Maryland; her two sons Robert Jason Holcomb and Daniel Joseph Holcomb, both of Spokane; her brothers Robert C. Holmes of Alpharetta, Georgia and Scott W. Holmes of Franklin, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Curtis Glenn Holcomb, of Spokane, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center following a brief illness.
Curtis was born in Port Angeles, Washington on January 31, 1955 and he spent most of his childhood in Spokane, Washington.
He attended John R. Rogers High School before enlisting in the United States Army.
In the Army, he served as a Paratrooper and for the Old Guard Army Ceremonial Unit.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy.
He is survived by his three sons; David Wayne Holcomb, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Robert Jason Holcomb and Daniel Joseph Holcomb, both of Spokane; grandson Anthony Daniel Holcomb, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; siblings Sharon Redmond, Rodger Smith, Rena Alexander, and Robert Holcomb; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A joint memorial service for Nancy and Curtis Holcomb for all family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the St. John’s Cathedral, at 127 E. 12th Avenue, Spokane, Washington 99202.
