Obituary: Souza, Clarence James Sr.

Age -89

SOUZA, Clarence James Sr. “Bud” A kind and gentle man devoted to reading and giving of sage advice.

He was content with his devoted pets and horses.

A master bow maker and fisherman.

Bud passed away November 21, 2012, at Spokane, Washington, He was born December 27, 1924, at Auburn, California.

He was the last surviving child of 16 children, being the 13th child, he is survived by his five children, Myrneth Constance Lacy, Clarence Souza, Jr., Kip Anthony Souza, Sandra Maybelle Hastings and Terance James Souza; and eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by spouses, Myrneth T. Souza (48 years) and June E. Souza (11 years), grandchildren Michael Lacey, Joanne Guy, and son-in-law Lou Lacey II.

Long term Spokane resident and retired TSgt., serving honorably in Army Air Corps and Air Force for a total of 30 years.

Served in three wars and was a P.O.W.

in Germany during WWII.

Former Postmaster Fairchild Air force Base.

The family expresses special thanks to the Spokane Veterans Home for its care and support over the years.
