From cost-effective to ugly

CenturyLink is permitted by Spokane County to use the public utility right-of-way on Belle Terre Avenue near Evergreen Road to install underground conduit, as Vera Water & Power and Comcast did.

CenturyLink decided it was not cost-effective, so they “redesigned” the permit, and have strung telephone poles to run their service. Not that it was impossible to do, but that it was not cost-effective.

The county has not stopped them, and says that they cannot control the use of the public utility easement. Needless to say, I won’t be signing up for CenturyLink. It wouldn’t be cost-effective.
