Obituary: Ament, Herbert B.
Age 90
Was born March 10, 1922, the first of ten children to Joseph and Katherine (Schmiesing) Ament, in Bluffton, Minnesota.
He died September 30, 2012 in Spokane Valley, WA.
He was 90.
Dad followed the love of his life, Vernie, to the great Northwest.
Herb married LaVerne Rogers on December 27, 1942 and they had five children, Ronnie Ament of Athol, ID, Bonnie Morgan (deceased), Diane Isaacson of Spokane Valley, WA, Dennis Ament of Post Falls, ID and Barbara Haney of Spokane Valley, WA.
Herbert was the grandfather to 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
His two passions in life were his wife and the woods and he also enjoyed woodworking.
On behalf of the family, a special thank you to all of dad’s doctors and Hospice of Spokane for the excellent care taken of him.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Otis Orchards, WA.
