Alma Price

Passed away in Anaheim, California, after a long bout with Alzheimer’s.

She formerly lived in Granada Hills, California, and later moved to Hangman Hills, Spokane, Washington.

She was born in Liverpool, England, and survived the Blitz bombing of England during World War II by Germany which lasted from 7 September 1940 and 16 May 1941.

During the war she served as a nurse in hospitals in Liverpool, England.

She first came over to America, as a war bride, on the cruise ship Queen Mary with other English women who married American GIs during World War II and she settled in Warren, Ohio, with her first husband, Joseph G. Fulkerson.

The family moved to California, in 1963.

She divorced in 1964 and moved to Inglewood, California, with her children and went to work for New York Life Insurance Company as a Medical Claims Adjuster, in Los Angeles, CA, and retired from there.

She later married Robert Earl Davis, of Granada Hills, CA.

They eventually moved to Spokane, WA.

Her husband Bob Davis preceded her in death.

She leaves behind two children, Ronald Paul Fulkerson of Post Falls, ID, and Carol Fulkerson Figler of Cypress, CA; six grandchildren, Christopher Fulkerson and wife, Megan, of Spokane, WA; Eric Fulkerson and wife Carissa, Smithton, IL; Eric Figler and wife, Billie of Mica, WA; Christy Bradley and husband Bill Bradley, of Chino, CA; Sara Berry and husband Matt, of Spokane, WA;, and Katie Millhorn and husband Seth Millhorn of Post Falls, ID; 18 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Tyler, and Ryan Figler; Tanner, Brookllyn, and Sawyer Bradley; Claire and Owen Fulkerson; Grace, Jonah, Micah, Kerith and Titus Fulkerson; Chandler, and Barratt Moland; and Grant Millhorn.

She belonged to St. Stephen Episcopal Church while living in Spokane and was also affiliated with Rockford United Methodist Church, which she visited occasionally.

She loved traveling and went on trips around the world with family and friends.

She also belonged to the Newcomers Club and South Hill Senior Center in Spokane.

She would have been 91 this month.

The service celebrating Alma’s life will be held on Thursday, October 4th at the Rockford United Methodist Church.

She will be buried at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, WA where her husband Robert Earl Davis is buried.
