Obituary: Kimball, Theodore

Age 75

KIMBALL, Theodore
“Ted” (Age 75)

Born in Portland, Oregon to Vida and Oliver Kimball on August 10, 1937.

Passed away peacefully on September 30, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

He retired from Kaiser Aluminum as an accoun-tant and went on to do freelance accounting work for various small businesses in Spokane.
He was involved in many sports growing up and his parents were always at his games.

He was a quarterback for the football team at Wenatchee College.

He learned to play golf and that gave birth to his nickname “Ted the Golf Nut”.

He continued to follow sports but golf was his game.

He played golf as often as he could.

His license plate says it all, “Work is for people who haven’t learned to golf”.

Ted was also a world traveler.

He visited places on six of the seven continents.

He approached life with eyes wide open and eager for adventure.

He will be remembered most for his positive attitude on everything.

Cancer may have taken his life but not his spirit.

His bravery and courage inspired us all.

He is survived by his wonderful children, Darron (Carmelita) Kimball of Graham, WA, Craig Kimball of Spokane, WA and Dayna (Dan) Furber of Shelby Township, Michigan; his beloved grandchildren, Kendra, Kellie and Davis Kimball of Graham, WA and Makenzie and Creighton Furber of Shelby Township, Michigan; sister Gail (Sonny) Herreid of Polson, Montana.

The family would like to thank Francine, the love of his life.

Words are not enough to thank you for all the love and support you gave our Dad.

To his neighbors and friends, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your help and prayers.

To the staff at Touchmark and St. Luke’s - Thank you for giving our Dad such wonderful care.

A celebration of his life will be held at Knights of Columbus, 302 E. Boone Ave., Spokane, WA, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Ted’s name to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
