Obituary: March, Crystal Dawn

MARCH, Crystal

Crystal Dawn March, age 53, passed away in her home in Spokane, Washington on September 20, 2012.

Born on March 2, 1959 in Portland, Oregon and raised by Neil and Virginia Pegel.

Crystal graduated from Walla Walla Valley Academy in College Place, Washington.

In 1978, Crystal moved to Spokane to pursue her college education while she worked part-time at Clinkerdagger’s restaurant, where she met the love of her life, Peter.

The two had their first date in 1980 and were later married in Los Angeles, California.

Crystal loved working outdoors with plants and possessed a real talent for making beautiful things grow.

Some of her landscaping designs can still be seen and enjoyed at various locations around Spokane’s South Hill.

She also had an eye and an appreciation for vintage clothing and collectibles, and eventually opened her own clothing store called the Blue Moon Mercantile in the heart of Spokane’s antique district.

However, her true love and pride was her family.

Crystal is survived by her husband Peter, and their three beautiful daughters, Alexandra, Danielle, and Nicolle.

She is also survived by her siblings, Barry, Barbara, Luanne, Steve, Greg, and John.

She is predeceased by her parents, Neil and Virginia Pegel.

Crystal was a very loving, warm, and generous person with a quirky sense of humor and infectious laugh.

She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Crystal will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife and mother.

Her ashes will be spread along the Oregon Coast, where the family enjoyed some of their happiest moments.

May she rest in peace.
