Of Rosalia, WA passed away October 2, 2012 in Spokane Valley, WA.
Mrs. Hofmann was born March 8, 1925 in Rosalia to Henry and Elsie (Harsin) Westphal.
Erma was a graduate of Rosalia High School, class of 1943.
She married Verne Hofmann October 1, 1944 and worked at Turnleys in Rosalia before becoming a full-time farm wife and mother.
Erma enjoyed working with wood, hunting, fishing, playing cards, working with the cattle, gardening, and farm life.
Especially driving truck at harvest time.
She was a member of the Plaza and Pomona Grange, the Pythian Sisters of Rosalia and the Gifted Grannies.
She is survived by son Wayne and Celia Hofmann of Rosalia, grandson Brian Hofmann and Rachel Lasz of Rosalia, and two great-grandchildren Brody and Aubrey Hofmann.
She is preceded in death by husband Verne Hofmann and parents Henry and Elsie Westphal.
Memorial donations may be made to Rosalia Ambulance Fund or Fairfield Ambulance Fund in Erma Hofmann’s name.
Visitation will be held at 6-8 p.m. on Friday October 5th at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia, WA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6th at the IOOF Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia.
A luncheon will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Spangle Service Club.
