Didier for lands commissioner

The Washington Department of Natural Resources is publishing spectacular photos of the Table Mountain fires in Central Washington. They show the tragic loss of millions of board feet of lumber, and remind us of the dead animals as well as private property damages our citizens are now viewing – after over 30 years of very bad, ill-conceived public lands management policies.

Locking up forests, and destroying timber companies and jobs, was a bad idea. We need to farm trees, not waste them. It is time to change managers and leadership in Olympia.

I’m voting for businessman and farmer Clint Didier for public lands commissioner. He and his family have sensibly managed their land for generations in order to survive. He and his team deserve our support, now.
