Police looking for driver in Valley hit-and-run

Police are on the lookout for a suspected hit and run driver who allegedly hit two cars last week in a Spokane Valley intersection.

During the Oct. 4 incident, two cars were stopped at a traffic signal around 5:30 p.m. heading north on Mullan Road at Sprague Avenue. The drivers of the two vehicles entered the intersection as the light turned green and were both hit by a light blue or silver Mazda 3 driving west on Sprague.

The driver was a white woman in her 20s with red hair, a news release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victims said the driver continued west on Sprague without contacting them. They added there was severe damage to the driver’s side of the car that hit them and that the air bags deployed.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
