Obituary: Havlovick, Suzetta Belle

HAVLOVICK,
Suzetta Belle

Suzetta Belle (Judd) Havlovick of Spokane went home with her Lord Jesus Christ October 6, 2012.

Her life began June 10, 1928 in Chehalis, WA as the firstborn of Marion and Nola Judd.

As a young girl she moved with her family to Inchelium WA where she grew in both body and Christian faith.

After graduating from Colville H.S.

and later finalizing her education at Kinman Business Institute, she began working for Inland Truck and Diesel.

While taking dancing lessons she met the love of her life Frank Havlovick.

They married April 8, 1951 and were soon deployed to Fairbanks, Alaska where Frank served with the Air Force for two years.

Settling back in Spokane they were both active in the community and Grace Baptist Church, where Sue put to good use her spiritual gifts as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent.

Finally in 1959 they welcomed their only child, Linda Belle, into their world.

Sue used her love of motherhood and children not only at home and church, but also for 17 years at Loma Vista Elementary School.

Her greatest joy in retirement was caring for her two grandsons Jordan and Joel.

Sue was involved in community activities including YWCA, COPS Northwest, and Restorative Justice, until her limited mobility had her spending more time at home.

Sue is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frank, her daughter Linda and son-in-law Bob Morris and their sons Jordan and Joel.

She is also survived by two brothers, Steve (Janet) Judd, Inchelium, and Gilbert (Juanita) Judd, Tacoma and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Francie and Dave Christianson.
Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service October 13, at Christ the Redeemer Church, 1523 W. Mallon, Spokane, at 3:00 pm.

A family graveside service will precede the memorial.
