Bonners Ferry boys soccer captures district
Steffan Robles found the back of the net in the first half and Noah Price and Evan Moe added goals in the second half to spark the Bonners Ferry Badgers (8-5-1) to a 3-0 victory over the St. Maries Lumberjacks (10-6) in an Idaho 3A District I-II boys soccer match at Lakeland.
Robles delivered in the 33rd minute, Price connected in the 71st minute and Moe came through on a penalty kick in the 77th minute to extend the Badgers’ season with a berth in the 3A state tournament.
Nikkie Roemer scored on a breakaway in the 77th minute to lift the East Valley Knights (7-6, 6-4) to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Cheney Blackhawks (5-7, 4-5) in Great Northern League action.
