Richard D. Clark died unexpectedly and peace-fully at home on October 10, 2012.

He was born July 12, 1925 in Beloit, WI to Leo and Irene Clark.

He graduated from Juneau High School in Milwaukee, and after high school he joined the Army and fought in General Patton’s 3rd Army at the Battle of the Bulge during WWII.

After the war he moved to Spokane where he met Mary Laudwein and they married September 18, 1947.

He worked at Brown Trailer before becoming a mathematics teacher at West Valley High School.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at WSU and his Masters Degree at the University of Arkansas (go Hogs!).

After retiring from teaching, he and Mary enjoyed many wonderful years camping, travelling, and playing tennis.

He volunteered his time on the board of Spokane Railway Credit Union (now Numerica) for a number of years, and donated over 100 pints of blood to the blood bank.

He is survived by his wife Mary; three children Chris (Donna), Carol Bash (Gail), Scott (Jodie); two grandchildren Cole Clark and Kelsie Clark.

A Vigil will be held on Friday, October 12th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.

A funeral mass will be held October 13 at St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
