Suspect’s age and day of arrest wrong
James E. Porter III, 23, was arrested on suspicion of burglary in Post Falls on Wednesday. Because of a reporting error, a news brief Friday gave the wrong date. His age also was incorrect because of erroneous information supplied to the newspaper.
Sentencing will be in January
Former Walla Walla County Undersheriff Carole Lepiane pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing thousands of dollars of inmate bail money. Sentencing was set for January. An Associated Press story in Friday’s paper misstated the status of her sentencing.
