HOWERTON, Richard R. “Tex”
(Age 79)

Born on June 24, 1933 in Dalhart, TX; entered into rest on September 22, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

Tex was Spokane area resident for over 40 years.

He graduated from high school in Dalhart, TX.

Tex served in the U.S. Navy.

Later after his retirement from the U.S. Navy, he worked at Tobacco Square in the Northtown Mall for many years.

Tex is survived by step son, Thomas Parker of Mill Creek, WA; step daughter, Vicki Parker of Spokane; siblings, Helen Hall, Naomi McMurry and Stanley Howerton; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; aunt, Irma Joe Mitchell of Texas; and cousins, Alice Knight and Verneel Akers of Texas.

A celebration of Tex’s life will be on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at his home.
