Volunteering

Salvation Army - The Salvation Army Food Bank is in need of volunteers to help sort and hand out food, along with helping clients’ shops and processing donations. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, be able to lift up to 25 pounds, have good customer service skills and pass a criminal background check. SNAP - Volunteers, ages 25-55 or older, with basic carpentry/maintenance skills are needed to help staff with upkeep and special projects, including building shelving, repairing office furniture, cleaning/maintaining outside grounds and upkeep of lawns/parking/buildings, as needed. Spokane Valley Partners - Volunteers for an administrative assistant to the program director to maintain the volunteer database; six-month commitment, up to 10 hours per week; assist in the recruitment and hourly tracking of volunteers involved in seasonal programs, food bank and clothing bank.
