A Spokane high school student charged Tacoma high school football players with nefarious conduct following a postgame dance at Spokane’s Masonic Temple.

He accused the Tacoma players of stealing the Spokane high school pennants which were decorating the walls. And that’s not all.

“I thought it might be a joke until the silver punch bowl ladle also disappeared and then an overcoat belonging to Elbert Francis of Spokane was taken,” said the student. “That was carrying it too far and I concluded to call the police.”

Detectives searched the baggage of the Tacoma players as they were waiting at the train station, but they found no trace of the missing items.

From the hunting beat: A 16-year-old Spokane boy made just one little mistake while out hunting rabbits.

“I was so excited and anxious to shoot the rabbit that I forgot to raise the gun,” said the boy.

He shot himself in the little toe.
