Utah State topples New Mexico State
Chuckie Keeton threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores as the Utah State Aggies easily defeated the New Mexico State Aggies 41-7 in a Western Athletic Conference football game on Saturday afternoon in Logan, Utah.
Keeton was 16 of 26 for 257 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown pass to Kerwy Williams to open the game. Keeton had seven carries for 81 yards, including a 76-yard run and a 9-yard run for TDs. Williams rushed for 82 yards, including a touchdown. Chuck Jacobs scored on a 49-yard pass from Keeton.
Utah State was up 28-0 at halftime.
San Jose State 52, Texas-San Antonio 24: David Fales threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Spartans to a victory over the Roadrunners in San Antonio.
Fales completed 17 of 26 passes, including scoring throws of 36 yards to Noel Grigsby, 36 yards to Tyler Ervin and 6 yards to Ryan Otten. Grigsby had four catches for 110 yards, and Ervin added a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
