Man shot and killed near Usk
A man was shot and killed at a home about seven miles south of Usk, Wash. on Monday afternoon.
Pend Oreille sheriff’s deputies found the victim, identified as Dana Morey, 57, deceased at the home near the 7000 block of State Route 211 with gunshot wounds to the chest.
Sheriff Alan Botzheim says the shooting took place at the home of the suspect’s father. He called police around 2 p.m. to report the shooting, saying his son shot another man.
When deputies arrived, they found the suspect, Charles E. Langford, 62, from Newport, Wash., having seizure-like symptoms …

When deputies arrived, they found the suspect, Charles E. Langford, 62, from Newport, Wash., having seizure-like symptoms at the home and was unable to speak to deputies.
Langford was transported to Newport Community Hospital for treatment prior to his booking into Pend Oreille County Jail for murder charges.
