Accept Wells’ offer

Hurrah! The out-of-state developer to whom WSU awarded the contract to demolish the historic Jensen-Byrd building and build student housing has withdrawn the offer. And, our local developer Ron Wells has submitted a new offer at the same price to buy the building for both student housing and historic preservation.

Surely WSU will forgo its already awarded demolition permit and accept Ron Wells’ offer, a win/win solution that will benefit the university with student housing, and, at the same time, preserve another important part of our Spokane cultural heritage.
