Obituary: Berscheid, Donald Lowell

BERSCHEID,
Donald Lowell
(Age 74)

Our beloved father, gramps, great-papa and friend has been called to join his wife who he has greatly missed for these past seven years.

Donald Berscheid was born the fifth of seven children on January 7th, 1938 in Geddes, South Dakota.

A lifelong resident of Otis Orchards since childhood, Don graduated from Otis Orchards High School in 1956.

Following high school he spent two years in the Navy.

In 1960, Don married the love of his life, Judy.

Together they had two wonderful daughters Deneice and Chris.

He was a talented craftsman who over the years built many beautiful pieces, which are still enjoyed today by his family.

Don took great pride in his home, yard, and garden and also enjoyed the outdoors.

He was a hard-working roofer for nearly forty years but greatly enjoyed his retirement.

During his retirement years, Don took up wood sculpturing, being most proud of the beautiful ducks and fish that he carved.

Anyone who knew Don will remember his big heart, quick wit, and sharp tongue.

Don’s family was his biggest accomplishment and greatest pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Judy, and is survived by his daughter Deneice Meyer and her husband Todd, his daughter Chris Rehwald and her husband Ted; his grandkids, Tyrel, Tiffany, Megan, Jessica, Caiden, Rylen, Tracy, Christine and John; and great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Claire, and Wyatt.
Please join the family to remember and celebrate Don’s life on Monday, September 3rd from 11-3:00 pm at the family home of 46 years in Otis Orchards, WA.
