Died at 12:03 p.m., Monday, August 27th, from a brain hemorrhage.
David was born July 18, 1955 in Spokane, WA to Robert and Shirley Vulcano, was a lifelong area resident and graduated from North Central High School.
He worked as a short-haul and in-town truck driver, was past president with the Spokane Men’s Bowling Association, lived his passion for softball in the form of playing, coaching and as an umpire for 13 years with the Spokane Softball Umpire’s Association.
David was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.
One of his greatest joys was receiving the “Best Dad Award” from his daughter, Angie.
David touched so many lives…everyone has lost a friend.
He loved everyone and would give that “sweaty shirt” right off his back (many of you know what that means).
He was active, loved life unconditionally; loved people and everyone immediately loved him on site.
He made people feel like they were the only one in the room, giving them that “warm fuzzy feeling” that everyone will draw on the rest of their lives.
In the short time since he passed, we’ve had a number of miracles that we know are David’s doing.
That’s him simply saying “I’ve got you, Kid”, to his daughter, and “My arms are wrapped around you Mrs. V” to his wife.
David will be remembered for his sense of humor, his compassionate and loyalty, and who will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Maurece Vulcano of 34 years, Spokane WA; daughter, Angelina Vulcano, Portland, OR; sister, Sandra Foredyce, Spokane, WA; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 5th, at Life Center Church, 1202 N Government Way, Spokane, WA.
A reception will be at the church.
