WOODWARD,
Ira D.

Ira passed away August 17, 2012 at age 93.

He was born in Riverton, Wyoming to Ira D. and Ida Woodward August 2, 1919.

He graduated from Riverton High School in 1937 then attended the University of Wyoming at Laramie, grad-uating in Civil Engineering in 1942.

On May 31, 1942 he married Lois Huffer of Cheyenne, Wyoming and they celebrated 70 wonderful, happy years together.

In 1949 the family moved to Spokane where he joined his brother as Walter Woodward Consulting Engineers.

After Walter’s death, Ira named the business Woodward Engineering.

Ira was a member and Past Master of Manito Masonic Lodge, member and Past Patron of Adelphi Chapter Eastern Star and member of Inland Empire Travelers Camping Group.
He is survived by his wife, Lois and four children, Julia Daniel (Dennis) and Ira III of Spokane, Elva deBoer (Douwe) of Spring Hill, Florida and Sylvia (Craig) Van Wey of Snohomish, Washington; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew in Riverton, Wyoming; and a brother-in-law in Cheyenne.
No service will be held at this time.
