ROBERTS, Roma
Roma Roberts, age 82, was born in Boston, Lincolnshire, England on September 5, 1929 to Albert Edward and Elsie Needham.
Roma returned to our Heavenly Father and her husband Clyde L. Roberts (deceased July 30, 2005) on Friday, August 31, 2012 at her home in Spokane Valley, WA.
Clyde and Roma were wed on November 7, 1957 in Boston, England.
Roma was a native of England and came to the States after her marriage to Clyde and they raised their family in Spokane Valley, WA.
Roma worked up to the age of 81 for All Seasons’ Apparel as a seamstress in Post Falls prior to being diagnosed with uterine cancer and was unable to work and do the things she enjoyed.
Her courageous battle with cancer was and is an awakening to the disease and the devastation that affects so many.
The Roberts family’s hearts and prayers go out to those that are in a battle with cancer.
Roma is survived by three children; Dale Roberts of Spokane, WA, Karen Roberts of Spokane Valley, WA, Susan Piccinini of Spokane Valley, WA; four granddaughters, Stephanie Bailey of Spokane, WA, Alena Roberts of Eugene, OR, Jessica Campbell of Marion, VA, and Ashley Campbell of Radford, VA, four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
A memorial will be held at Roma’s home in the Spokane Valley on her 83rd birthday, Wednesday, September 5th at 2 pm.
The family asks that any gifts and donations be presented to Hospice of Spokane in her honor or to cancer treatment centers to help others in the diminish of this disease.
