Boutique plans fall clearance sale

NEVADA/LIDGERWOOD – The Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave., will have its super fall clearance sale at the Thrifty Boutique beginning Tuesday.

Shoppers can find $1 bargains on blouses, pants, skirts, shorts and summer dresses. The sale will run through Sept. 20 and the boutique will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mobius plans street fair Saturday

DOWNTOWN – The Mobius Science Center and Mobius Kids Children’s Museum will have a street festival Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The family-friendly event will include free, guided tours of Mobius’ new science center and visitors can see Mobius’ newly renovated Children’s Museum. There will also be arts and crafts, robotics, hands-on science activities and food.

Cancer benefit hosted by Dow students

DOWNTOWN – The graduating esthetics class at Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design, 309 W. Riverside Ave., will host Fun in the Sun on Saturday, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., to benefit Cancer Patient Care.

The event will focus on skin cancer awareness and will feature a fashion show, hair, nail and make-up competitions, make-up demonstrations, a silent auction and raffles.

The event is free. All proceeds from the fundraiser will support Cancer Patient Care.

Fashion event planned at River Park Square

DOWNTOWN – Spokane will have its own Fashion’s Night Out at River Park Square from 5 to 9 p.m. today

Celebrated in more than 100 cities and 16 countries, Fashion’s Night Out is considered the fashion event of the season. Spokane fashionistas can shop the latest fall trends at River Park Square. Visitors are also encouraged to drop off new or gently used make-up and beauty products for Project Beauty Share or new or gently used clothes for Our Sister’s Closet. Donations may be dropped off at the concierge desk.

Shoppers who spend $50 during Fashion’s Night Out will have an opportunity to win a $100 River Park Square gift certificate. Bring receipts to the concierge desk to enter.
